Peer Review Policy

The Journal of Integrative Sport Science and Human Performance adopts a double-blind peer review process to ensure scientific quality.


Review Process

All manuscripts submitted to JISSHP undergo a double-blind peer review process after an initial editorial screening. In this process, both author and reviewer identities are kept confidential.

Initial Screening

  • The manuscript is evaluated by the editor in terms of scope, scientific contribution, and formatting.
  • Manuscripts that do not meet the requirements may be rejected without peer review.
  • Plagiarism and ethical compliance checks are conducted at this stage.

Reviewer Assignment

  • The manuscript is assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers.
  • Reviewers are selected based on their academic expertise.
  • A third reviewer may be assigned if necessary.

Evaluation Criteria

  • Scientific originality and contribution
  • Methodological rigor
  • Quality of data analysis and interpretation
  • Use of relevant literature
  • Clarity and quality of writing

Decision Process

  • Accept
  • Minor/Major Revision
  • Reject

Review Principles

  • Reviewers must maintain confidentiality.
  • Reviews must be objective and scientific.
  • Reviewers must decline if a conflict of interest exists.

Revision Process

Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in line with reviewer comments. Revised manuscripts may be re-evaluated.

Transparency and Ethics

The peer review process is conducted in accordance with COPE guidelines. Scientific integrity and academic honesty are maintained throughout.
