General Principles
All manuscripts submitted to the Journal of Integrative Sport Science and Human Performance (JISSHP) must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration by another journal at the same time. Submitted works are expected to be within the aims and scope of the journal.
Manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with scientific ethics, academic writing standards, and the publication policies of the journal. Before submission, authors are expected to review the journal’s ethical policies, copyright and licensing terms, plagiarism policy, and peer review procedures.
Article Types
The journal accepts original research articles, review articles, systematic reviews, meta-analyses, short research reports, and other academic contributions deemed appropriate by the editorial board.
Language of Submission
Manuscripts may be submitted in Turkish or English. Titles, abstracts, keywords, and all required bibliographic details should be provided in accordance with the journal’s policies.
Manuscript Structure
Manuscripts must be prepared in accordance with the journal template. In general, submissions are expected to include the following sections: title, abstract, keywords, introduction, method, findings/results, discussion, conclusion, acknowledgements if applicable, funding information, author contribution statement, ethics committee/informed consent information, conflict of interest statement, and references.
- The title should be clear, concise, and representative of the study.
- The abstract should briefly present the aim, method, key findings, and conclusion.
- Keywords should accurately reflect the content of the manuscript.
- References must be prepared in accordance with the citation style adopted by the journal.
- Tables, figures, and visuals should be properly placed and indicated in the text.
Ethical Responsibilities
Research involving human participants or animals must have received the necessary ethics committee approval where applicable. Ethics approval information should be clearly stated in the manuscript. Authors are responsible for declaring that the research was conducted in accordance with ethical principles.
Submission Process
Manuscripts must be submitted through the journal’s online submission system. Authors are required to enter all requested metadata completely and upload all necessary files during submission.
The main manuscript file must be prepared in a way that is suitable for the blind peer review process. Author information such as name, title, affiliation, and ORCID should be provided separately or through the relevant metadata fields in the system.
Review and Revision
After editorial screening, suitable manuscripts are sent to the double-blind peer review process. Based on reviewer and editor evaluations, authors may be asked to revise, improve, or clarify their work. Revised manuscripts should be resubmitted through the system within the specified time frame.
Final Check
Before submission, authors are strongly advised to carefully check their manuscripts in terms of template compliance, language quality, references, ethical statements, table/figure formatting, and suitability for blind review.
